Babel
by Jacqueline Goldfinger
Directed by Jaimelyn Gray
Babel is a dark comedy set in the near future. As world resources deplete, an act of legislation known as “PRE-certification” is passed – making it a necessary process for anyone hoping to start a family. Two couples (friends Dani and Renee, and Jamie and Ashley), are having very different experiences with pregnancy and the lengths they go to in order to have a baby raises the specter of eugenics, explores the societal value of a baby, and asks us what we are willing to risk for love.
This production contains adult subject matter. Viewer discretion strongly advised.
